National Charity Organization Teams Up with Joliet’s Race Fan Rally for Fan Entertainment
Trackside Charities to sponsor Joliet event entertainment
JOLIET, Ill. (June 26, 2007) – The CitiFinancial Race Fan Rally presented by AAA is
proud to announce Trackside Charities as the official sponsor of the festival’s
entertainment stage. With their involvement in this year’s event, Trackside Charities is
also pleased to provide Nashville, Tennessee band, Jackson Hill to the line-up of this
year’s live entertainment.
Trackside Charities, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting existing children’s
charities. The organization aids these charities with their fund raising efforts through
motorsports, America’s # 1 spectator sport. Trackside Charities has worked with a
number of nonprofit organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Child
Abuse Prevention, St. Jude’s Research Hospital and many more.
According to Trackside Charities Director, Gregg Burmeister, the Race Fan Rally is a
perfect fit. “The CitiFinancial Race Fan Rally presented by AAA not only provides
Trackside Charities with great exposure but an opportunity to raise charitable funds with
a special raffle. I can’t thank the city of Joliet and its City Center Partnership enough for
including us in this tremendous event.”
Kicking off this year’s Race Fan Rally entertainment is a band that entertains tourists at
the world famous Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Jackson Hill. This Southern Rock band
looks forward to making its debut appearance at this year’s event in support of Trackside
Charities. “Trackside Charities and Jackson Hill will definitely contribute to the energy
and excitement of this year’s event,” stated Tom Mahalik, Vice President of the Joliet
City Center Partnership. “The Race Fan Rally is a family-fun community event and we
are happy to be a part of Trackside Charities fundraising efforts.”
For the seventh straight year, Next Media and WJOL AM local radio personality Scott
Slocum will be playing host at this year’s event. Next Media, Race Fan Rally’s media
sponsor, will be conducting on-stage Q&A interviews with participating Race Fan Rally
NASCAR drivers including NASCAR stars Elliott Sadler and Casey Mears. To see an
